Katherine Marquisos

Katherine is a woman in her 90’s who came to this country after WWII from southern Greece. She is fluent in three languages and has the moxie and energy of someone decades younger.

What Katherine is doing and has done in her life to get to this age and be happy and enjoying herself is mainly making people the centerpiece of her life. Today she is still cooking for bean soups, pasta and other Mediterranean delicacies for neighbors, friends and family.

She is a voracious reader and stays current by reading bestsellers like ‘Hamilton”.

A few nuggets from our interview really resonated with me;

Katherine claims: “ Try to get along with people and let the small things go”.

“If you help bring happiness to other people that happiness will come back to you.”
